I'm just getting started. I have a 96 Jeep Cherokee that I wish to make a booster for and would like some advice. I've become overwhelmed with all the info. available and wonder the best way to proceed. I'm tempted to build a "smackbooster" which I have free plans for, but I'm also tempted to pay one of " gauranteed 50% increase in milage" or other offers that abound on the internet. These offers seem to good to be true, whereas there seems to more proof of the free designs, which also don't seem to exagerate the milage claims. Please help. I'm really exited to get started as quickly as possible. Booster now , total water car next, and who knows what else. Can it be that Big Oils' death grip on the world is finally going to come to an end? Too many inventors and too much information to suppress now, I hope.

There is a lot of info on the web. Much of it is not totally reliable, however, you can realistically get an average of 30% fuel savings with the Smack's Booster. I built 3 of them before I found out the design flaw. They will work, but with limits depending on application and other elements. Check into your vehicle O2 sensor and how that system works or you may not get any mileage increase. Also, if you plan to drive for more than 45 minutes, you will need to install a PWM, or build a booster that will not overheat on your system.
